Mack Trucks has added ABM and Lane Valente Industries to its Turnkey Solutions program, bringing the total number of full-service charging infrastructure providers to four. The expansion targets one of the most persistent barriers to fleet electrification: the complexity of building commercial charging infrastructure from the ground up. Both companies offer national coverage across the United States and Canada, supporting customers of the Mack MD Electric and Mack LR Electric.
Mack Trucks turnkey solutions grows to meet fleet infrastructure demand
The Mack Trucks Turnkey Solutions program is an end-to-end fleet management service covering every stage of charging infrastructure development. That includes site assessment, engineering and design, permitting, utility coordination, equipment procurement, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
Ryan Saba, e-mobility energy solutions manager at Mack Trucks, said charging infrastructure remains one of the biggest obstacles fleets face. By bringing in ABM and Lane Valente, Saba said Mack aims to give customers access to experienced providers that can manage the entire infrastructure process, so fleets can stay focused on operations.
ABM, listed on the NYSE, brings significant scale to the program. Its eMobility solutions team has installed more than 30,000 EV charging ports nationwide, and its services span in-house engineering and design, procurement, construction, power provisioning, and performance solutions. Mark Hawkinson, president of technical solutions at ABM, said the partnership creates a fully integrated approach that can support fleets from initial planning through to capacity expansion and long-term infrastructure performance.
New providers bring depth to commercial charging infrastructure
Lane Valente Industries arrives with more than 30 years of experience in facility maintenance, construction, and energy solutions. Its Electric Vehicle Charging Station Infrastructure Division, established over 15 years ago, has supported the deployment of more than 20,000 charging ports across the United States and Canada. Services cover site assessment, load and operational analysis, infrastructure design and engineering, permitting, utility coordination, equipment procurement, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
Nick Angeramo, vice president of energy services at Lane Valente, said the commercial EV market has reached an inflection point as fleets shift from early pilots to scaled deployment. He highlighted the company’s ability to self-perform critical portions of project work as a key differentiator, allowing tighter control over schedules, quality, and safety.
ABM and Lane Valente join existing program provider InCharge Energy, broadening the program’s national reach. Mack noted the expansion gives customers more options to match their specific infrastructure requirements.
LR electric and MD electric specs underpin program scope
The Mack LR Electric carries a standard 376 kWh total battery capacity, driven by twin electric motors producing 448 continuous horsepower and 4,051 lb.-ft. of peak torque from zero RPM. Four NMC lithium-ion batteries power the vehicle through a 150 kW, SAE J1772-compliant charging system.
The Mack MD Electric is available in Class 6 and Class 7 ratings, with GVWRs of 25,995 pounds and 33,000 pounds respectively. Both configurations are exempt from the 12 percent Federal Excise Tax and cover dry van/refrigerated, stake/flatbed, and dump vocations.
Mack’s decision to expand the Turnkey Solutions program while the broader commercial EV market works through a period of slower adoption signals a deliberate long-term commitment to fleet electrification infrastructure. Both new providers support Mack dealers and fleet customers across the United States and Canada.
